Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
The short version:
- We use your birth details and those of the people you add to calculate the charts and write the readings in the app.
- In a link, the other person sees only your first name, your signs and the chart placements needed for your shared reading. They never see your birth date, time or city, your chats with Natalie, your journal, your notes or your circles.
- To write the readings and talk with you, Natalie uses third-party artificial intelligence: we send only what's needed (chart placements, first names and what you write), never your email, your photos, or anyone's birth date, time or place.
- The relationship journal is private and only goes to the AI if you turn on a separate permission, which starts off.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or use tracking or advertising tools.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time, in the app (Profile → Questions → “How do I delete my account?”) or on the Delete account page.
1. Who we are
Natalie Chart (“the app”, “we”) is an astrology app for iPhone and Android, run by Gabriel Almeida, who is the controller of the personal data processed in the app under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, “LGPD”).
For anything about privacy — questions, requests about your data or complaints — write to gabrielpolsh@gmail.com. This address is also the contact channel for our data protection officer.
2. What data we collect
2.1 Account data
You sign in with your Google or Apple account. From these services we receive your email (with Apple, it may be a relay address created by Apple), your name and, with Google, your profile photo, plus an account identifier. We never receive your password.
2.2 Birth details and your chart
To calculate your birth chart, we ask for your full name and your birth date, time and city. From the city, we store its geographic coordinates and the time zone on that date. We also store the calculated chart (planet positions, houses and aspects).
2.3 People you add
You can add other people (friend, family, coworker, partner, crush or other) in two ways:
- Typing their details yourself: name, type of relationship, birth date, time (optional) and city, and an optional photo. This is third-party data: by typing it, you confirm that you have the right to share it with us for this purpose (see section 11).
- Inviting them by link: the person accepts the invite with their own account and fills in their own details. Until they accept, someone invited without details shows up as “waiting”.
2.4 Links and invites
When someone accepts your invite (or you accept theirs), a link is created. We store who is in the link, the label each of you gave the relationship, and the shared reading. For each invite, we store the label chosen, when it expires, and whether it was used or cancelled — for the invite link and the code, we store only a hash, not the link or the code themselves. See section 5.
2.5 Circles
You can create circles: private groups of up to 8 people, including you. We store the circle's name and who is in it. Only the person who created a circle can see it.
2.6 Relationship journal and conversation coach
- Journal: private notes about each person — the tone of an interaction and, if you like, a text of up to 500 characters.
- Conversation coach: the situation and context you describe to prepare a conversation, and the answer Natalie writes. The result is saved in your journal with that person.
The journal is yours. Section 6 explains who sees it and when it goes to the AI.
2.7 Other things you create in the app
- Chats with Natalie: the messages you write in the chat. Your chat history is stored only on your device; messages are sent to our servers and to the AI provider only to generate the reply, and are not kept in our database.
- Generated readings: the texts Natalie writes about your chart, your day, your people and your links are stored so you don't have to generate them again.
- Profile photos (optional): yours and those of the people you add, picked from your gallery. The app only accesses the photo you choose.
- Reports of AI replies: if you report a reply from Natalie, we store the reported text and the reason, for review.
2.8 Blocks and reports
If you block someone or report an invite or a link, we store the block and the report (the reason and, if you write one, a comment). This data is used to keep people safe in the app and is reviewed by our team.
2.9 Technical data
Our infrastructure providers log technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as IP address, date and time of requests, and error logs. We also count how many AI readings each account generates per day, to apply the daily usage limit.
2.10 What we don't collect
The app does not access your GPS location, your contacts, your camera or your microphone. We don't use advertising identifiers, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking tools. The app has no messaging between users.
3. Why we use the data and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (LGPD) |
|---|---|---|
| Create and maintain your account, and sign you in | Account data | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Calculate and show your birth chart and those of the people you add | Birth details and details of people you add | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Create invites, form links and show the shared reading to both sides; organize circles | First name, signs and chart placements, labels, invites, links and circles | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Store your journal and your coach conversations | Journal notes, coach situations and answers | Performance of a contract (art. 7, V) |
| Generate readings, today's sky, Natalie's replies and the coach's answers with artificial intelligence | Chart placements, first names, chat messages, coach text | Consent (art. 7, I), asked for in the app before use |
| Take your journal into account in AI replies | Journal notes | Specific consent (art. 7, I), through a separate permission that starts off |
| Keep people safe: blocks, reports of invites and links, and review by our team | Blocks, reports, and the invites and links involved | Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) |
| Apply the daily AI limit and prevent abuse | Usage count, technical data | Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) |
| Review reported AI replies | Reported text and reason | Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) |
| Answer support and data subject requests | Your email and whatever you write to us | Performance of a contract and compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II and V) |
| Comply with legal obligations, such as keeping access logs | Technical data | Compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II; Brazil's Internet Civil Framework) |
4. Artificial intelligence
Readings, Natalie's replies and the coach's answers are written by third-party artificial intelligence models, accessed through an AI routing service. To generate each text, we send these providers only what's needed:
- your first name;
- the placements of your chart and of the charts of the people you added (with their first names) and, when relevant, of today's sky;
- the messages you write in the chat and the situation and context you describe to the coach;
- journal notes, only if you turn on the journal permission (see section 6).
We never send your email, your photos, the birth date, time or place (yours or anyone else's), or your account identifiers.
We ask for your permission in the app before sending your data to the AI. Providers process the data to generate the reply, under their own terms. You can ask for the current list of providers at gabrielpolsh@gmail.com.
Natalie is an artificial intelligence, not a person. Replies and coach answers are generated automatically, may contain mistakes, and are an invitation to reflect: they are not therapy, nor medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The coach refuses to help manipulate or pressure anyone and, when the situation described suggests abuse or risk, shows support and emergency contacts. If a reply seems offensive or inappropriate, you can report it in the app.
5. Links and invites
5.1 What the other person sees
In a link, both sides see the same reading of the relationship. The other person sees only:
- the first name you chose;
- your signs and the chart placements needed for the reading;
- the shared reading.
They never see your birth date, time or city, your chats with Natalie, your journal, your notes, your circles, or the label you gave the relationship — and you don't see any of that about them either. The app has no messaging between users.
5.2 Undo, block and report
Either of you can undo the link at any time. You can also block the person (the link is undone and they can no longer invite you) and report them. Reports are reviewed by our team.
5.3 Invites
- Each invite is a link (https://nataliechart.com/v/…) with a short code. It works only once, expires in 7 days, and can be cancelled by the person who sent it at any time.
- We store only a hash of the invite link and the code, not the link or the code themselves.
- The public invite page shows only the first name of the person who sent it and the label chosen for the invite — never “crush”.
- Reporting an invite also blocks the person who sent it.
6. Relationship journal
- The journal is private: only you see it. It is never shown to the person you write about, even if you two are linked.
- It only goes to the AI if you turn on “Natalie can read my journal” in your Profile. This permission is separate from the general AI permission and starts off.
- With the permission on, we send the 5 most recent notes about the person you're talking about when you chat with Natalie about them or prepare a conversation, and up to 30 notes when you ask Natalie to notice patterns.
- You can turn the permission off whenever you want; from then on, the journal doesn't leave the app.
- You can delete notes one by one, or the whole journal about a person.
7. Who we share data with
We don't sell or rent personal data. We share data only with:
- People you're linked with — only what's described in section 5.1.
- Supabase — hosting for the database, authentication, photo storage and server functions. The data is stored on servers in the São Paulo region (Brazil).
- Google and Apple — for sign-in, when you choose to sign in with them.
- The AI routing service and artificial intelligence providers — as described in sections 4 and 6.
- Open-Meteo — when you search for a birth city, the text you type is sent to this geolocation service to find the city and its coordinates.
- Authorities — when required by law, by court order or by a request from a competent authority.
8. International transfers
Some of these providers, especially the artificial intelligence ones, may process data outside Brazil. In those cases, the transfer happens to provide the service you asked for and with your consent, under article 33 of the LGPD, and we choose providers that adopt security measures compatible with those required by Brazilian law.
9. Photos
Profile photos are stored at an address that is not listed or indexed, but that can be opened by anyone who has the exact link. So choose photos you wouldn't mind showing. You can change or remove any photo at any time, and they are all deleted when you delete your account.
10. How long we keep data
- While your account exists: account and birth data, people you added, links, invites, circles, journal, readings, photos, blocks and reports. An invite stops working once it's used, cancelled or 7 days old.
- When you delete your account: we delete all of this immediately and permanently — including daily check-ins from older versions of the app, if any. Infrastructure backups may keep data for a short period until they are automatically overwritten.
- Your links are undone on the other side: the other person's entry about you goes back to what they had typed, or to “no birth date”. The private journal they wrote about you belongs to them and stays with them.
- Access logs: for the period required by Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Law No. 12,965/2014), when applicable.
- On your device: your chat history and copies of readings are stored locally, separated by account, and are deleted when you delete your account or uninstall the app.
11. Other people's data
When you add someone by typing their details, you are responsible for having their permission. If you prefer, invite them by link so they fill in their own details. Use the data for personal purposes only. What you write in your journal about someone is private and stays with you. If someone asks us to remove their own data added by another person, we'll review the request and may remove it.
12. Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18), you can, at any time:
- confirm whether we process your data and access it;
- correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data (in the app, under Profile → edit details);
- ask for anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data;
- ask for data portability;
- ask for deletion of data processed on the basis of consent, and withdraw your consent;
- know who we share your data with;
- be informed that you may refuse consent and what happens if you do;
- file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
To exercise these rights, write to gabrielpolsh@gmail.com from your account's email address. We reply within 15 days. If you withdraw consent for the AI, readings, the chat with Natalie and the coach stop working, but chart calculation remains available. The journal permission can be turned off at any time in your Profile, without affecting the rest of the app. You can also undo links, cancel invites and delete notes directly in the app.
13. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), authentication through the official providers, and per-account access control in the database: each person can only read and change their own data and, in a link, sees only what's described in section 5.1. For invites, we store only a hash of the link and the code. We keep what we send to third parties to the minimum needed. No system is completely immune to failures; if a relevant security incident happens, we'll notify you and the ANPD as required by law.
14. Children and teenagers
Natalie Chart is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. Teenagers should use the app with their parents' or guardians' knowledge. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to gabrielpolsh@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or the law. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
